QIPs scheme was announced in 2012 under Mekong Ganga Cooperation. Each QIP project has a gestation period of one year and a budget not exceeding USD 50000. Presently, the QIP scheme covers implementation of 10 projects for each of the four CLMV countries per year. Till date, around 82 QIP projects have been taken up in CLMV countries, out of which around 49 projects have been completed and the remaining are under various stages of implementation.
