CASES OF COVID-19 AMONGST FOREIGN DIPLOMATS
401. SHRI DEREK O’BRIEN:
Will the Minister of External Affairs be pleased to state:
(a) whether COVID-19 cases have also affected many foreign diplomats in embassies in India and if so, details thereof; and
(b) the lines of communication, medical attention, aid and emergency support provided to diplomats residing in India currently?

(a) Several foreign diplomats resident in India were affected by COVID-19.
(b) All possible medical assistance was promptly provided to the diplomatic missions, which requested for such help for their diplomats and family members. The assistance included, facilitation in hospitalization, tele-medicine consultations, medicines, vaccination etc.
