Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state :-
(a) the new Plurilateral groupings joined by India since, 2014; and
(b) the initiatives piloted by India since 2014 and benefits thereof?

The details of prominent plurilateral groupings joined by India since 2014 are placed at Annexure-I.

(b) India has consistently piloted new initiatives at these plulirateral groupings to promote India’s engagements at bilateral, regional and global level. Such initiatives have been used to not only speak for India but as the voice of peace, security and prosperity for all. Understandings reached through these initiatives have enabled India to strengthen relations with partner countries and put forward India’s viewpoint and shape the agenda on global issues such as reformed multilateralism, peace and security, climate change, transnational crime, terrorism, cyber-security, energy and food security, etc. These initiatives also offer the world India’s own unique solutions to partners for addressing global issues, like the International Solar Alliance and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure. The understandings/agreements reached therein enable India to strengthen relations with partner countries across a wide range of sectors including trade & investment, technology and defence collaboration. Such outcomes also contribute to India’s national development agenda to promote economic growth and well being of our people and put forward the interests of developing countries in forums like G20.
