AGREEMENTS SIGNED WITH USA AND NETHERLANDS
497. SHRI KIRANMAY NANDA:
Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether any bilateral agreements have been signed with United States of America (USA) and Netherlands during recent visit of the Prime Minister;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?
ANSWER

(a) to (c) Prime Minister visited the USA on 25-26 June 2017. No formal agreements were signed during the visit. A Joint Statement was issued summarizing the key outcomes and understandings reached during the visit in the areas of counter-terrorism, defence
and security, trade & economy, energy, entrepreneurship and people-to-people contacts.Prime Minister visited the Netherlands on 27 June 2017. During the visit, the following three MOUs/Agreements between India and the Netherlands were signed:
(i) MoU on Cooperation in the Field of Water Management;
(ii) MoU on Cultural Cooperation;
(iii) Protocol Amending the Agreement on Social Security.
