Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Foreign Office Consultations between lndia and Eritrea

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Foreign Office Consultations between the Government of Republic of India and the Government of the State of Eritrea is scheduled to be signed on April 20, 2018 in New Delhi.

From the Indian side, the MoU will be signed by Shri T. S. Tirumurti, Secretary(ER) and from the Eritrean side by H. E. Mr. Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, Ambassador of Eritrea in New Delhi.

This MoU will facilitate a structured dialogue for strengthening bilateral corporation between India and Eritrea. India and Eritrea enjoy warm and cordial relations in political, commercial, education and other areas. Over the years, India has provided Eritrea with capacity building assistance in several fields such as legislative drafting, technical scholarships (agriculture, education, health), and food aid. India is also a high-preferred destination for Eritreans for higher studies.
