INDIAN PASSPORT SCANNING ISSUES

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has received any complaints in respect of Indian passport scanning issues in foreign countries during last three years and the current years; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government in this regard along with the time by which it would be resolved?

(a) & (b) No major complaint was received by the Government in respect of Indian Passport scanning issues in foreign countries during last three years and the current year. However, minor complaints were received by few Indian Missions/Posts abroad, which were rectified by issuing the new booklets in this regard.
