ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
[SHRI V. MURALEEDHARAN]

(a) to (d) The Government has noted the U.S. Government's announcement that the U.S. troops, as well as the forces deployed by NATO member states will leave Afghanistan before September 11, 2021.

The security situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated in the recent past and remains critical. In view of this, the Government remains vigilant and closely monitor the evolving security situation.

The Government receives, from time to time, various inputs related to possible threats posed by anti-India terrorist elements to Indian assets and ongoing projects in Afghanistan. In close cooperation with the Afghan authorities, the Government takes all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of Indian assets and ongoing projects.
