EXTRADITION TREATY
3785. SHRI ADHIR RANJAN CHOWDHURY:
Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the names of countries with which India has signed extradition treaties; and
(b) the names of countries with which criminals have been extradited, country-wise?

(a) Till date, India has signed Extradition Treaties with 47 countries and entered into extradition arrangements with 9 more countries. The list is enclosed as
Annexure A.
(b) As per records available, in last fifteen years, as many as 47 fugitive criminals have been extradited/ deported from India to the concerned foreign countries. On the other hand, a total of 62 fugitive criminals have been extradited/ deported to India from
various countries. The list is enclosed as
Annexure B.
