At the invitation of the President of India, the President of the Republic of Belarus, H.E. Mr. A.G. Lukashenko, is paying a State visit to the Republic of India from 11-12 September 2017.
The visit is taking place in a year when Belarus and India are celebrating 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. During the visit, President Lukashenko will have meetings with President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Shri Venkaiah
Naidu, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj.
During the visit, the two sides are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation in defence & security, trade & investment, science & technology and people to people exchanges. They are also likely to exchange views and assessments on regional and multilateral
issues of mutual interest. A business forum and parallel meetings organized for the members of the large delegation accompanying President Lukashenko would explore business opportunities and cooperation avenues.
